FrogRope Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-09-19 Version: v1.0

This policy applies to the "FrogRope" mobile application (Android, package name com.frogrope.app), operated by Qin Chao (individual) (hereinafter "we"). We have formulated this policy in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Cybersecurity Law, the Data Security Law, and the Provisions on the Management of Information Services of Mobile Internet Applications, as well as the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), among other applicable laws and regulations.

Before using this application, please read this policy carefully and make sure you fully understand it. When you tap "Agree and Continue" on first launch, it means you have read and agreed to the entire contents of this policy. If you do not agree, you may exit the application, which will not affect your normal use of other device functions.

I. How We Collect and Use Your Information

We follow the principle of "minimum necessary". The core design of this application is that all exercise data is processed locally on your device by default and is not uploaded to our servers. We have not built any backend server for storing your personal information.

1.1 Camera Images

1.2 Microphone Audio

1.3 Exercise and Health Data

Your skip counts, training duration, goal settings, and history generated in this application, as well as personal profile information you fill in yourself (such as nickname, height, weight, etc.), are stored only in your device's local database and preferences, and are not automatically uploaded to any server. You may view, modify, or delete these records at any time within the app; uninstalling the app will erase all local data.

1.4 Device Identifiers and Network Information

This version of the application does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or third-party SDK, and therefore does not collect any device identifiers (such as OAID, Android ID, IMEI, or MAC address), IP address, or usage behavior from your device. We do not declare permissions such as READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_CONTACTS, or ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION.

All exercise and health data and the personal profile you enter are processed and stored only on your device as described in Sections 1.1–1.3. Nothing is transmitted off the device.

1.5 Information We Explicitly Do Not Collect

1.6 Exceptions to Consent

In accordance with relevant laws and regulations, under statutory circumstances involving national security, public interest, criminal investigation, or where necessary to protect the life, property, or safety of you or others, we may process personal information without obtaining your consent.

The optional network permissions listed above are not used to collect or report user information.

III. Third-Party SDK Information Sharing

This version of FrogRope does not integrate any third-party SDKs — no analytics, advertising, payment, or social-sharing SDKs. We do not share, transfer, or disclose any personal information to any third party; all data you generate stays only on your device.

IV. Storage and Protection of Information

  1. Storage location and duration: Your exercise data and personal profile are stored only locally on your device; the storage period is controlled by you (deleting records or uninstalling the app clears them). This version does not transmit any data to external servers.
  2. Security measures: We have adopted technical and management measures commensurate with the risks to protect the security of your information, including isolated local data storage, minimum-permission requests, and compliance checks of third-party SDKs.
  3. Security incident handling: In the unfortunate event of a personal information leak or other security incident, we will promptly activate our emergency plan as required by laws and regulations, and inform you of the basic facts of the incident, potential impact, measures taken, and recommendations for your response.

V. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information, which you may exercise through the contact methods in Section VIII. We will respond within 15 business days of receiving your request:

  1. Access and correction: View and modify your nickname, height, weight, and other profile information in the app under "Me / Profile".
  2. Deletion: Delete individual or all training records within the app; uninstalling the app clears all local data.
  3. Withdraw consent: Turn off camera / microphone authorization at any time in system settings; you may also withdraw consent to this policy by uninstalling the app, which erases all local data.
  4. Account cancellation: This application does not provide a cloud-based account system; all data is stored locally only, so uninstalling the app is equivalent to canceling the account and clearing all data.
  5. Request explanation: You have the right to ask us to explain specific terms of this policy.
  6. Complaint and report: If you believe our personal information processing has harmed your legitimate rights and you are dissatisfied with our response, you may complain or report to regulatory authorities such as the cyberspace administration, telecommunications, or public security departments, or contact the 12321 Network Bad-Information and Spam Reporting Center (www.12321.cn).

VI. Children's Privacy and Mixed-Audience Handling

FrogRope is designed for family fitness and may be used by users of all ages, including children. We therefore treat children's data with particular care and comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applied to children, and other applicable children's privacy laws, in addition to the PRC laws cited above.

  1. No third-party collection from children: This version integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDK, so we do not collect any device identifiers (such as OAID / Android ID), precise location, or usage behavior from any user — children included. Camera and microphone data are processed locally on the device only and never uploaded.
  2. No identity information from children: We do not collect name, school, address, contacts, or other identity information from child users except as permitted under COPPA with verifiable parental consent.
  3. No advertising or profiling of children: This app integrates no advertising SDK and does not use children's information for behavioral advertising, profiling, or commercial marketing.
  4. Local-only children's data: Children's exercise and health data is stored only on the device locally and is not uploaded to any server; uninstalling the app clears it.
  5. Guardians: If you are a child's guardian and have questions about the data generated from the child's use of this app, or wish to delete related data, please contact us through the methods in Section VIII, and we will respond promptly.

VII. Policy Changes

  1. This policy may be updated from time to time due to changes in laws and regulations or adjustments to product features.
  2. When a material change occurs (such as an expanded collection scope or added sharing parties), we will notify you via an in-app popup, announcement, or other prominent means, and re-obtain your consent.
  3. Non-material changes (such as wording optimizations or contact updates) take effect directly after the effective date is updated on this page.
  4. You may always review the latest version in the app under "Settings → Privacy Policy" and on this page.
